Team of Excellence ~ Vandenberg Air Force Sergeants Association
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Vandenberg Air Force Sergeants Association is recognized as the 2011 Division Chapter of the Year (under 500 members). The Vandenberg AFSA Chapter adopted two miles of state highway bringing 36 members out to remove 2,000 pounds of trash and beautifying over 8 miles. They revitalized the chapter's scholarship program delivering $600 in educational scholarships. The chapter also briefed during five Airman Leadership School classes and to 68 of Vandeberg?s newest senior noncommissioned officers on the importance of private organizations. The members also beautified the POW/MIA memorial spending five hours cleaning and replacing $250 in flags for more than 50,000 patrons that visit it. Please join Col.
