Vandenberg responds to Bear Creek wildfire

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – The Bear Creek wildfire that erupted here at approximately 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, has now burned through more than 400 acres. Approximately 150 firefighters and emergency responders are attempting to contain the blaze with three ground-hand crews, 28 fire engines, seven bulldozers, three helicopters and two fixed-wing aerial tankers.
