Minotaur
Team members from the 1st Air and Space Test Squadron at Vandenberg Air
Force Base, California coordinate using a high-lift crane to "stack"
segments of a five-stage Minotaur IV rocket at Launch Complex 46, Cape
Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. As the only unit in the Air Force able
to maintain, transport, handle rocket components and perform post-launch
equipment recovery for the Minotaur IV, the 1 ASTS utilizes experienced
missile maintainers on this special space assignment -- a first for the
Minotaur IV launch vehicle, which has previously flown from every U.S.
launch site except Cape Canaveral. (Courtesy photo)
