Sewing through the shortage

Senior Airman Miguel Garcia, 30th Operations Support Squadron intelligence analyst, sews masks for hospital workers and base members April 14, 2020, at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. As of April 6, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, base members are required to wear a mask in buildings and when they are unable to maintain 6 ft. social distancing. To assist with the need for face masks, volunteers from across base have utilized the Training Device Design and Engineering Center to sew masks for base members and hospital workers.
