USSF Acquisition Leader visits VAFB
The 30th Space Wing Hotshot firefighters explain how the team extinguishes brush fires to Lt. Gen. John F. Thompson, U.S. Space Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center commander, April 9, 2021, at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. Due to Vandenberg AFB’s location, wildland fires are a common occurrence during the summer months and the Hotshots play a major role in keeping the installation ready and able to continue the mission.
