    When I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1973, I had the standard prejudices common to the rural, southern Indiana small town in which I was raised. I was racist, homophobic, misogynistic, and white privileged without any conscious thought of the basis for these beliefs.

  • Women empower future leaders through Women’s History Month panel

    As a way to celebrate Women’s History Month, Vandenberg Air Force Base held a Women’s Empowerment Panel on March 14, 2019, featuring installation member and local community leaders as guest speakers. Approximately 60 members from the community and base attended the panel, led by Chief Master Sgt.
