WEBVTT 00:06.239 --> 00:08.930 Today we're practicing training for our 00:08.930 --> 00:11.097 wildland fire responses . So this is a 00:11.097 --> 00:13.263 prescribed fire that is generally done 00:13.263 --> 00:15.779 to reduce fuels and create hazardous 00:15.779 --> 00:18.969 fuels reductions and allow us to manage 00:18.969 --> 00:21.025 wildfires when they happen in a more 00:21.025 --> 00:23.191 effective way . What we're doing today 00:23.191 --> 00:25.413 is setting these fires . So that we can 00:25.413 --> 00:27.770 go and actively uh suppress them with 00:27.770 --> 00:30.280 our fire department wild and engines , 00:30.450 --> 00:32.770 our hand crew and our fire dozers that 00:32.770 --> 00:34.959 we have on base . We have multiple 00:34.959 --> 00:36.626 organizations within the fire 00:36.626 --> 00:38.848 department that are all coming together 00:38.848 --> 00:41.070 to practice and make a cohesive team to 00:41.070 --> 00:42.209 suppress these wildland fires .
