Five Vandenberg Airmen receive Article 15 punishment

Five Vandenberg Airmen received punishment in December 2008 under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Their offenses and punishments are as follows:

A technical sergeant assigned to the 30th Medical Support Squadron violated Article 121 of the UCMJ by using a government vehicle for unofficial business, and violated Article 107 by making a false official statement. For this misconduct, the Airman received the following punishment: reduction to the grade of staff sergeant and forfeiture of $70.

An airman 1st class assigned to the 30th Security Forces Squadron violated Article 134 of the UCMJ by unlawfully entering the residence of another military member, and violated Article 109 by damaging a military family housing unit. For this misconduct, the Airman received the following punishment: a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, suspended forfeiture of $754 for two months and a reprimand.

An airman 1st class assigned to the 30th Space Wing violated Article 121 of the UCMJ by stealing various items of government property. For this misconduct, the Airman received the following punishment: a reduction to the grade of airman basic, with reduction below the grade of airman suspended, restriction to base for 60 days and a reprimand.

An airman 1st class assigned to the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron violated Article 121 of the UCMJ by shoplifting from the Base Exchange. For this misconduct, the Airman received the following punishment: a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman 1st class assigned to the 30th Space Communications Squadron violated Article 134 of the UCMJ by leaving two infant children unattended in military family housing. For this misconduct, the Airman received the following punishment: a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, forfeiture of $178 pay for two months, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand.
