30th Space Wing Commander Signs Up With Air Force Assistance Fund
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Col. Steve Tanous, 30th Space Wing commander, signs an Air Force Assistance Fund, or AFAF, form on Feb. 29 for Tech. Sgt. Chasity Degroat. She is the 30th Space Wing Staff Agencies point of contact. The AFAF is one of only two Air Force sanctioned on-the-job fund raising events. It raises funds for the four Air Force charities: Air Force Aid Society, Air Force Villages Indigent Widow's Fund, Air Force Enlisted Village Indigent Widow's Fund, and General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation. The AFAF gives back to Active Duty Airmen and their families. Signing the form simply means Airmen agree to contribute to the charity of their choice.
