VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. -- MEDIA ADVISORY FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Space Launch Delta 30 will host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Sept. 11, 2026, at 9:46 a.m. at the Vandenberg Space Force Base Parade Grounds. The ceremony will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, honor the lives lost and recognize the courage and sacrifice of first responders, survivors, service members and their families. Attendees will hear remarks from Col. James T. Horne III, commander of Space Launch Delta 30, and SLD 30 first responders. Shortly after the ceremony, media will have the opportunity to interview Col. Horne and participating first responders.

Due to security requirements at Vandenberg Space Force Base, all media representatives wishing to cover the event must RSVP no later than Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026.

Registered media will meet at the Vandenberg SFB Visitor Center at 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 11 to be escorted to the ceremony location.
