Vandenberg completes Foggy Shores Exercise

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Members of 30th Security Forces Squadron respond to an exercise terrorist attack Jan. 22. A vehicle-borne impulsive explosive device detonated at the Solvang Gate and dispersed a secondary device. Security forces secured and performed self-Aid and buddy care to casualties until the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron's Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Emergency Response team responded. The terrorist attack was part of a Foggy Shores Exercise that prepares and evaluates the base's performance and response to a real world crisis situation.
