Training Device Design and Engineering Center engineering technicians work on a pump housing at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, March 31, 2026. Space Launch Delta 30’s TDDEC fabricated the lower half of a pump housing which had a significant crack along the exit flange for Space Launch Delta 45’s Deluge Pump 7, which is a critical piece of infrastructure at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. The TDDEC can perform all aspects of the fabrication process, to include purchasing materials, managing computer numerical control, machining, welding, wood-crafting, 3D printing, mold-making, casting, painting, laser-engraving and more.
