Commercial Rideshare & Food Delivery Program

(Uber, Uber Eats, DoorDash, Lyft, Walmart, etc.)

1. Base Personnel (Customers)

• Restricted Access: Deliveries are limited to the Main Base/Cantonment only. There is NO access authorized for the Northern, Western, or Southern parts of VSFB, nor through installation gates other than the Santa Maria, Lompoc, or Solvang Gates (subject to gate operating hours).
• Onus on Customer: You must verify your driver has active base access and is authorized for your area before ordering. Requests for sponsorship of drivers at the gate or the VCC will not be processed.

2. Rideshare & Food Delivery Drivers: To access VSFB, you must meet and adhere to the following procedures:

• Vetting & Credentialing: Coordinate with your platform company (Uber, DoorDash, etc.) to establish sponsorship, complete a background check at the VCC, and obtain a 6-month DBIDS credential (subject to Base Access Disqualifiers).
• Gate Entry Requirements: Access is restricted to the Santa Maria, Lompoc, and Solvang (after 1200 on weekdays only) Gates direct to the main cantonment area with passenger type vehicle only. You must present your active app or receipt (showing on-base destination and customer name), submit all passenger IDs for scanning (no Trusted Traveler allowed), and temporarily surrender your DBIDS card to the gate guard for the duration of the run.
• Transit & Departure: Proceed directly to and from your authorized delivery/pickup point. You must exit via the exact same gate you entered to retrieve your surrendered DBIDS card from the gate guard.

3. Rideshare & Food Delivery Companies - Onboarding: Companies wanting to sponsor drivers and integrate services must formally coordinate with the 30 SFS/Security Plans & Programs office (contact via VCC email) to establish driver verification and geofencing. Applicable to standard passenger vehicles only, this process does not apply to large commercial trucks or cargo requiring Bill of Lading (BOL) inspections (which must still go through the Lompoc Gate).
