VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Vandenberg hosted National Police Week events this week in May, 2026. From opening ceremony to closing ceremony, the events highlighted National Police Week and educated participants about how the 30th Security Forces Squadron, local law enforcement and federal agencies keep communities safe.
The closing ceremony gave Airmen, Guardians and civilian attendees the opportunity to recognize and pay respect to law enforcement personnel and those who gave their lives in the line of duty protecting the nation and local communities. The 30th Security Forces Squadron defends the base while supporting Airmen, Guardians and their families and promoting connectedness.
National Police Week offers honor, remembrance, and peer support, while allowing law enforcement, survivors and citizens to gather and pay homage to those who gave their lives in the line of duty.
