Security Forces at Vandenberg have one of the most unique missions in the entire Air Force. The daily defense of active Space Launch and Ballistic Missile launch facilities and vehicles at the Air Force's third largest installation.

Visitor Center Hours: Open 7 days a week 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Visitor Control Center: We are located on the corner of Highway 1 and California Blvd. at the entrance to Vandenberg SFB. We prepare and issue over 80,000 AF Form 75's (Temporary Visitor Passes), annually. We coordinate access for over 75 contractors, companies, vendors, and visitors, including NASA, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing, in support of mission requirements 

Processing Procedures: Visitors can be vouched on to the installation by permanent party personnel or cleared contractors. Visitors also can obtain entry by having their sponsor meet them at the Visitor Control Center located just outside the main gate.

Resource Protection: VSFB Resource Protection Mission is to promote safeguarding of Space Force property by reducing the opportunity for theft or terrorism and to promote crime prevention by ensuring everyone safeguards government property. This places heavy reliance on the Space Force Installation Security Program. By their very nature, nonnuclear munitions, explosives, and high value one of kind resources are the stock of the trade of the satellite and test launch programs and are the heart of our resource protection program. By supplementing individual efforts in a coordinated base program with judicious use of physical protective aids and manpower, we provide a degree of protection equal to the threat.

Administration and Reports: The Reports and Analysis section is the focal point for collecting all criminal incidents, accident reports and vehicle citations that takes place on Vandenberg SFB. We provide requested information and background checks to our customers within the legal rim of information allowable according to regulations and the Information Act. Through contacts with Federal and State Law Enforcement agencies, we provide commanders with administrative products to sustain a secure environment, positive community relations, and ready deployable forces in order to serve and protect our nation and community.
