The 2d Range Operations Squadron (2 ROPS) controls and operates the Western Range in support of the nation's spacelift, ballistic missile test launch, missile defense test, and aeronautical test and training operations. The squadron provides mission integration and launch operations support to new and existing launch service providers to enable effective planning and successful launch execution. The squadron directs over 1,000 Space Force and contractor personnel at five geographically separated locations spanning more than 2,500 miles to ensure optimum configuration and performance of tracking, telemetry, communications, data analysis and meteorological assets valued at over $1.5 billion.
