Colonel Kris E. Barcomb

As the Space Launch Delta 30 Vice Commander at Vandenberg SFB, CA, Colonel Kris E. Barcomb is responsible for over 500 military, civilian and contractors supporting all aspects of spacelift operations, and missile and aeronautical testing on the Western Range. He is a graduated group and squadron commander with tours overseeing the 30th Operations Group and the 1st Air and Space Test Squadron. Throughout his career he has has held a range of positions across the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community spanning spacelift, cyberspace planning and operations, satellite systems operations, acquisition, and research and development.

Colonel Barcomb received his commission as a Distinguished Graduate through the Reserve Officers Training Corps upon his graduation from Clarkson University in 1999 with a degree in Computer Engineering. He is also an alumnus of the University of La Verne, the Rochester Institute of Technology, the Air Force Institute of Technology, the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies and the Secretary of Defense Executive Fellowship Program.
