30th Space Wing Commander, Col. Michael Hough, was the first Club Member to transition to the new Member Planet Club Card system.  As of Aug. 1, 2017, existing Club Members can connect their accounts to the new system by going to: http://www.myairforcelife.com. The biggest news for Club Members is that some categories of dues have been reduced starting at $3 a month for E-1 through E-4!  Civilians, contractors, retirees are all eligible for membership and its benefits! You can see current dues rates at https://www.30fss.com.

Club dues have tons of benefits such as $5 off a Youth Programs membership, $5 off a $50 or more purchase from Outdoor Rec, free admission to events (such as the upcoming McGregor vs. Mayweather Fight!), free food on the First Friday of every month, $1 off meals at Sparetime Grill, PCC Bistro & Coffee Shop and Jamba Juice and much more!

This month, Aug. 1-31, members who connect as new members or connect their existing membership account to the new ‘Member Planet’ system have a chance to win some amazing prizes; AF-wide one $10,000 prize, at Vandenberg one $1,000 prize, and AF-wide 70 lifetime membership will be given away!  Want to know more? Stop into any FSS facility today, every facility has been trained to assist you with joining the Club and can walk you through the steps to connect your existing account or create a new one!

The new system has arrived in response to customer complaints that previously, members had to apply for a credit card to join the Club.  The new Club membership program allows members to pay their monthly dues with any payment method they want. As of 1 August 2017, member dues were charged to a Chase Bank-affiliated club membership card.

MemberPlanet has a mobile app and a web-based site for access to information on the individual’s membership, upcoming events at your local Pacific Coast Club, and a digital version of your club card.

Since members won’t have physical cards to prove membership, they’ll now show their digital membership card through the MemberPlanet App on their smart devices. Members who prefer to have a physical card can print their card at home.

“Air Force club membership is a tradition,” said Col. Donna Turner, AFSVA commander. “It’s where our Airmen experience, learn and share our Air Force culture. Our clubs provide resiliency to our Airmen and their families. This new approach to membership will make it easier for our Airmen to stay connected with our Air Force tradition and build on the culture and esprit de corps established by those who have previously served.”
