30th Medical Group commander to speak at Oak Leafs Luncheon

The next Oak Leafs meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m., March 5, 2013, in the Pacific Coast Club's Warrior Room.

The Oak Leafs is open to all of Team Vandenberg's female military members in grades O-4 and O-5.

The guest speaker will be Col. Barbara Jones, 30th Medical Group commander. Jones leads 247 military and civilian personnel, and is directly responsible for a $21 million dollar market area operations and maintenance budget.

Jones was born and raised in the north side of Chicago, Ill. In 1988 she earned a direct commission after graduating from Aurora University School of Nursing, Aurora, Ill. Prior to assuming her current position, she was the commander of the 43rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Pope Field, N.C., the Air Force's first and only active association AES with an Air Force Reserve wing.
