VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- A Community College of the Air Force graduation ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Pacific Coast Club here at 1 p.m. Nov. 10.
This graduating class will host 94 graduates, the largest number at Vandenberg since 2004, according to the Vandenberg education office.
"The high number of CCAF graduates and degrees this year is truly a testament to the dedication and commitment of Vandenberg members toward their pursuit of higher education," said Dorian Hodge, 30th Force Support Squadron CCAF advisor. "It also reflects the outstanding support provided to the graduates by their supervisors, shirts (first sergeants), chiefs, commanders, family members, friends, and co-workers."
Those who graduated this year contributed to Vandenberg's No. 1 ranking in Air Force Space Command for the percentage of degrees awarded based on enlisted population.
"The high number of Vandenberg graduates also helped Air Force Space Command garner second place among major commands in the Air Force," said Hodge.
"If you are unsure about how to get your degree, the CCAF advisor on base is extremely helpful," said Staff Sgt. Andrew Satran, 30th Space Wing Public Affairs NCO in charge of photography operations and recipient of a CCAF degree in Multimedia Production Services. "Don't be afraid to find out how close you are to getting your degree. Chances are, you are not far away from getting it."
Vandenberg hosts bi-annual graduation ceremonies in May and November for those who have earned their CCAF degree.
