Team V members are invited to attend the sixth annual Fire Muster competition hosted by the Vandenberg Fire Department Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the parade grounds here.

In support of Fire Prevention Week, the competition gives base units a chance to compete against one another in tasks normally preformed by the fire department.

"Firefighting requires a lot of team work," said Scott Balatgek 30th Civil Engineer Squadron fire inspector. "This competition will teach teams how to work together to rise to any challenge that is thrown at them."

This year's muster will host 21 teams from various base agencies in a competition to test physical endurance and teamwork.

Scores from the fire truck pull, bucket brigade and obstacle course events will count toward the final score that determines the champion team.

"Come out and support your team," said Balatgek. "It will be exciting to see who takes home the trophy this year."
