A Summary Court-Martial on March 4 convicted Staff. Sgt. James Carter, 798th Munitions Maintenance Group, of two violations of Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Specifically, the court convicted Sergeant Carter of using his Government Travel Card for multiple unauthorized purchases over the course of 11 months. Additionally, the member failed to pay in full the charges to the same card.

Sergeant Carter pled guilty to the charges. The sentence adjudged by the Summary Court-Martial was a reduction to Senior Airman, restriction to Vandenberg Air Force Base for 60 days, and a reprimand.

The court-martial took place in the courtroom at the 30th Space Wing legal office in Building 10577. The next court-martial is scheduled to convene on April 18.
