FSS to host Breakfast with Santa event
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 30th Force Support Squadron is scheduled to host the annual Breakfast with Santa event at the Pacific Coast Club here from 9 - 11 a.m. Dec. 18.
Vandenberg's Breakfast with Santa is a free event open to all personnel with base access.
"This is all about holiday fun," said Lynn Warner, event coordinator. "It's a chance for families to share in the Christmas spirit and enjoy a free breakfast with some holiday crafts, games, prizes and a visit with Santa!"
The 30th FSS has organized the Breakfast with Santa event for more than 12 years, from which it has grown into a base-wide event.
"This event has always been a way to bring together our community with a free festive event, and to show our appreciation to our Airmen and their families while taking part in a little holiday cheer," Ms. Warner said.
The event was coordinated and planned to occur weeks before Christmas, to allow Vandenberg families with the opportunity to celebrate the holiday season as a community before there is a big surge in holiday traveling.
"Families can expect a variety of holiday arts and craft activities, a free breakfast, games and door prizes, entertainment, lots of Christmas music and a chance to sit down with Santa for a photo," Ms. Warner said.
