VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- An arcing power line is the cause of the Bear Creek Fire, which began here Thursday according to 30th Space Wing emergency officials.

About 170 Vandenberg Fire Department and supporting emergency responders resumed work to extinguish the fire at 9 a.m. today.

The Bear Creek Fire is 15 percent contained; 320 acres have burned.

No structures are threatened.
