Vandenberg will host town hall sessions regarding the Expanded Force Management Program at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 31 at the base theater.

The town hall meetings will feature guest speakers Col. Robert Steele and Chief Master Sgt. Bernadette Borders, both with Air Force Space Command.

These sessions will provide a chance for base personnel to learn more about the Expanded Force Management Program and ask questions about the process.

Air Force leaders publicly announced the Expanded FY10-11 Force Management Program on March 25. The program is a series of voluntary and involuntary initiatives designed to reduce the number of active officer and enlisted members to conform to Air Force end strength limits. This initiative is on an extremely fast track. Force-shaping and reduction in force eliminees must separate by April 11, and selective early retirement board eliminees must retire by Jan. 11.

For more information contact, Master Sgt. William Dobbins at 606-7719 or 1st Lt. Ashley Phelps at 606-7499. For the full story on the Expanded Force Management Program, go to www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123196695.
