LOMPOC, Calif. - Vandenberg firefighters responded to a fire outside the Lompoc Gate near Santa Lucia Canyon Road here Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009. The Santa Barbara County and Lompoc fire departments assisted base personnel in extinguishing the fire that burned approximately 1.7 acres of land.
