Annual Fire Muster prepares to crown new champion
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 30th Civil Engineer Squadron fire department is scheduled to host the 3rd Annual Fire Muster competition at the parade grounds here Oct. 9 at 8:30 a.m.
The competition consists of three events that are designed to test physical endurance and teamwork.
Scores from the fire truck pull, bucket brigade and obstacle course will be tallied by the fire department to determine the winner of the muster.
The overall winning team will have bragging rights till next year's muster and take a traveling trophy to display at their organization. The 30th CES commander or fire marshal will award the trophy.
Each team must consist of five members with at least one teammate of the opposite sex. Teams must provide their own work gloves and eye protection to participate in the event.
The deadline for registration is Oct. 2. To register a team, call Mr. Scott Balatgek at 606-4680 or send an e-mail with all team member names and a contact number for the team captain to scott.balatgek@vandenberg.af.mil.
