BX sweepstakes, savings await military retirees who 'Still Serve'
DALLAS -- As part of its annual "Still Serving" weekend, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service will salute former Soldiers and Airmen by offering unique specials and events at base exchanges and post exchanges worldwide Sept. 18-20.
AAFES' "Still Serving" sales and benefits information flyer is already arriving in the mailboxes of more than 1 million Army and Air Force retirees. The flyer offers exclusive savings on a wide variety of categories, including $50 off any select computer notebooks over $699, up to $70 off a set of new tires, and several meal deals at the food court.
"At approximately 2.1 million, retirees account for 26 percent of AAFES' 12.2 million authorized shoppers," said AAFES' senior enlisted advisor Chief Master Sgt. Jeffry Helm. "The specials offered in the flyer, combined with the host of 'Still Serving' events and festivities, should provide plenty of incentive for retirees to come and rediscover the value the exchange offers."
In addition to the savings available at "brick and mortar" exchanges, authorized shoppers will also find details of the "Salute to Your Service" sweepstakes at www.aafes.com. AAFES will offer online giveaways and other prizes during the event.
Authorized exchange shoppers can learn more about activities planned for the weekend of Sept. 18 at Vandenberg by calling 805-734-5521. Contact information for all AAFES BXs and PXs can be found online at www.aafes.com by clicking on the "store locator" link.
