AFCEA set to host space communications symposium
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association will host the Space/Communications Integration Symposium from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Pacific Coast Club here.
The symposium is meant to stimulate local interest in communications, electronics and intelligence as they relate to the space mission. AFCEA will treat attendees to free food and a chance to hear guest speaker Andrea Seastrand, the executive director of the California Space Authority.
Through this event, AFCEA hopes to promote a better understanding of the people, programs and policies affecting space; showcase vendors with exciting new products in the space market; and provide an opportunity to network with others in the community sharing similar interests, said Capt. James French Jr., who works in the 14th Air Force.
