AFSPC announces 2008 Space and Missile Operations Award winners
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- It gives me great pleasure to recognize the men and women of the 30th Operations Group. They were recently named by Air Force Space Command as winners of the 2008 Space and Missile Operations Awards. These awards honor AFSPC's most outstanding operations units and individuals. Those from VAFB honored include:
General Donald J. Kutyna Award for Best Spacelift Squadron: 2nd Range Operations Squadron
Space Instructor/Evaluator of the Year, Officer Category 1: 1st Lt. Erin Smith, 30th OG
Space Instructor/Evaluator of the Year, Officer Category 2: 1st Lt. Lauren Neely, 30th Space Wing
