'DownRange' to cover operations in Afghanistan, Iraq

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Starting April 13th the Pentagon Channel brings together the experiences and stories of those serving in Afghanistan and Iraq into a daily 15-minute newscast, "DownRange."

"DownRange" succeeds the popular "Freedom Watch Afghanistan" and "Freedom Journal Iraq" news programs currently airing by combining them into one powerful, comprehensive vehicle. Building off the successful foundation already in place, producers will ensure a solid commitment to comprehensive coverage by coordinating with military reporters, public affairs officers and commanders in the field.

"DownRange" will be available to download on the Pentagon Channel Web site,, or as a podcast via the iTunes music store.
