It gives me great pleasure to announce the following Air Force Space Command level award winners at Vandenberg.

- Bob Dickson, 30th Space Wing, (AFSPC's Operational Security Officer of the Year)

The OPSEC Officer of the Year is awarded to the individual with an ability to identify and solve significant OPSEC problems, threats, or vulnerabilities; demonstrates outstanding leadership and knowledge in the application of OPSEC; and displays innovative and creative use of resources (e.g., personnel, fiscal, networking, or facilities) to successfully accomplish OPSEC-related goals and missions.

- Tech. Sgt. Keri Vazquez, 30th Mission Support Squadron (Outstanding USAF Personnel Manager of the Year Award--Cat. III-C)

The Outstanding USAF Personnel Manager of the Year Award recognizes individuals who have made important contributions in a military Personnel function. This includes achievement in developing or improving programs, systems, procedures, or ideas that resulted in benefits to both individuals and the Air Force.

- Tech. Sgt. Sheila B. White, 30th MSS (General Horace M. Wade Innovation Award)

The General Horace M. Wade Award recognizes an individual who has initiated innovative changes that enhance operational support to the war fighter.

In addition, the 30th Space Wing was named AFSPC's OPSEC Organization Excellence Award winner.

The OPSEC Organizational Excellence Award recognizes outstanding accomplishments in the areas of organizational ability to identify and solve significant OPSEC problems, threats, or vulnerabilities; creation or development of innovative programs for OPSEC training, education or awareness; and mission accomplishments and successes at the organizational level resulting from the application of OPSEC and/or development of a robust OPSEC program.

Please join me in congratulating Mr. Dickson, Sergeant Vazquez and Sergeant White on a job extremely well done, and hats-off to all of you for your contributions in making Team V AFSPC's No. 1 OPSEC unit!
