More notified of missing tax records than original estimate

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. --
Following the discovery that tax documents were missing from their collection boxes April 9, the Vandenberg Tax Office began to notify customers whose tax returns had been filed at the tax office.
About 1,100 people have been notified, and 200 to 300 people could be affected.
Customers are being advised that they can take certain steps to protect themselves and their family.
