Run, bike, swim; athletes test endurance

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- -- More than 45 Airmen, friends and family showed up to participate in a triathlon Saturday here.
In a contest of endurance, it was the team consisting of Lindsay Buckalew, 30th Medical Operations Squadron, Nate Ogan, 30th Services Squadron, and Kent Yankee that was able to out-do the rest of the pack. The team was able to beat out the second-place team by nearly seven minutes.
The overall winners were Tyler Storie for the men at 1 hour, 3 minutes, 20 seconds and Pam Storie for the women with 1:10:14.
The race included three grueling legs that included swimming, biking and running with racers competing in one of five age brackets.
Winners from each age bracket include: Cecilia Ramos, women over 50, Jeff Storie, men over 50, Rose Hinchcliff, women 40-49, Kent Blankenship, men 40-49, Louise Carter, 30-39, Doyle Stricker, men 30-39, Caitlin Reese, women 20-29, Robert Davalos, men 20-29, Rebekah Mazany, women 15-19, and Kevin Weeks, men 15-19.
