VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Operation Inception is a three-day proof-of-concept event held at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif., Jan. 14-16, 2025. Led by the 195th Wing, the exercise tests the unit’s ability to coordinate and execute a Combined Effects Package (CEP) to enhance air survivability and long-range munitions effectiveness. Key participating units include the 195th Operations Group, 195th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group, 216th Electromagnetic Warfare Squadron, 147th Combat Communications Squadron, 261st Cyber Operations Squadron, and 148th Space Operations Squadron. The event focuses on integrating non-kinetic effects, securing resilient communications, strengthening network defense, and refining capabilities to support joint command, control, computing, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and targeting (C-CSISRT) mission threads.
