Members of the media are invited to VSFB for a media roundtable Wednesday, June 18 with U.S. Space Force Colonel Nick Hague, a NASA astronaut and the first Space Force Guardian to launch into space.
Who: Colonel Hague made history as the commander of NASA's SpaceX Crew-9 mission of Expedition 72. After a more than 170 day stay aboard the International Space Station, Colonel Hague returned to Earth on March 28, 2025, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experiences that will shape the future of space exploration. We invite you to attend a media roundtable with Colonel Hague to hear about his remarkable journey, his accomplishments in space, and his efforts to inspire the next generation of STEM students.
What: Media members will have 30 minutes to ask Colonel Hague questions, who will be available to speak on his experiences as a NASA astronaut and a U.S Space Force Guardian across his career. Colonel Hague can speak to partnership between the Space Force and NASA, advancement of human knowledge and achievements in space, and inspiration of the next generation.
Where/When: Interested media must RSVP by Tuesday, June 17 by 9:00 a.m. Media representatives are asked to arrive at the VSFB Visitor Control Center, 6 California Blvd, Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA 93437, by 2:15 p.m., Wednesday, June 18 to have sufficient time to check-in. Proof of affiliation and photo identification are required. A military public affairs representative will escort media on base.
Following the roundtable, media will be escorted back to the VSFB VCC for departure by 3:40 p.m.
