Vandenberg hosts patching ceremony for the Space Test Program S29A (STP-S29A) launch at the Pacific Coast Center at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif., April 8, 2026. Team Vandenberg members gathered at the PCC for a patching ceremony, a tradition that commemorates Vandenberg's launches and highlights team members who were critical to mission success.

The STP-S29A mission delivered the STPSat-7 space vehicle, which housed five DoW experiments and additional research CubeSats into low Earth orbit. Throughout its 58-year history, Space Test Program missions have supported the development of technology behind all critical Space Force capabilities such as satellite communications, positioning, navigation, timing, space sensing, space domain awareness and space access.

The patching ceremony celebrated the launch of the Space Test Program S29A (STP-S29A) mission and commemorated Vandenberg's rich space launch and test history. U.S. Space Force Col. James T. Horne III, Space Launch Delta 30 commander, gave closing remarks, thanking Team Vandenberg for their coordinated efforts in working on the launch of STP-S29A, highlighting the importance of team cohesion to accomplish the mission.
