2nd Space Launch Squadron Change of Command

2nd Space Launch Squadron held a change of command ceremony, June 25, 2026. Col. James T. Horne III, Space Launch Delta 30 commander, mentioned the importance of the 2nd SLS as a mission partner, thanked Lt. Col. Andrew Singleton, outgoing 2nd SLS commander, for his work, and welcomed Lt. Col. Emily Stanhouse, 2nd SLS’s incoming commander.

Singleton was responsible for overseeing National Security Space Launch mission assurance, spacecraft integration, and expeditionary launch and maintenance. Stanhouse assumed command from Singleton. 

2nd SLS is an expeditionary space launch team that performs maintenance, transportation, handling and emplacement of small lift space flight hardware in support of the Rocket Systems Launch Program and other Department of War customers while enabling responsive launch solutions.
