VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. -- 30th Logistics Readiness Squadron held a Change of Command ceremony at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, June 26, 2026.
U.S. Space Force Col. James T. Horne III, Space Launch Delta 30 commander, mentioned the importance of the 30th LRS as an enabler of SLD 30 mission success and thanked U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Jeremiah Alefosio, outgoing 30th LRS commander, for his work and welcomed U.S. Air Force Maj. Joanne M. Whitlock, 30th LRS’s incoming commander. Alefosio led a multidisciplinary logistics squadron of 175 military, civilian and contractor personnel, supporting space launch operations and Vandenberg’s intercontinental ballistic missile test sites. During the ceremony, Whitlock assumed command from Alefosio.
The 30th LRS ensures a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible vehicle fleet, while delivering high-quality travel and transportation solutions and maintaining a robust supply chain that provides timely access to equipment, parts and fuel.
