The 30th Medical Group Open House
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 30th Medical Group will host an Open House from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6 to welcome all their beneficiaries, network providers, local healthcare agencies, honorary commanders and other community members and supporters. Members of every department and clinic in the medical treatment facility will be available to provide information, showcase capabilities, and demonstrate how the 30th MDG supports the Air Force and 30th Space Wing missions in varied and sometimes unexpected ways.
"Those in attendance will learn how we are working behind the scenes - from housekeeping and facility management to bioenvironmental engineering and public health - to keep your work centers and living environments safe and healthy," said Maj. Nicole Steiner, 30th Mental Health Flight commander and lead project officer for the open house. "The Open House is especially valuable for our beneficiaries, who can meet their healthcare team, patient advocates, and exceptional family member program staff for informal dialogue and interaction as well as sign-up for convenient, secure communication with their providers."
Also, United Healthcare representatives will offer guidance and answer questions regarding medical benefits. For network providers, there will be opportunities to meet their counterparts in the 30th MDG and attend a special session with a panel of their internal experts who will explain the unique aspects of military medicine and answer questions. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
"Come spend some time and pay a visit to the 30th Medical Group Open House," said Lt. Col. David Linkh, 30th Medical Operations Squadron commander. "Meet your military and civilian healthcare providers and learn what your medical group is doing to improve your patient care experience and support the mission!"
