Hand crafted to excellence
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Vandenberg Chief's Group dedicated a new enlisted ranks display at the Vandenberg Pacific Coast Club Dec. 19, 2013.
Chief Master Sgt. Ryan Peterson, 30th Space Wing command chief, gave the opening remarks.
"In the beginning of our careers, no one knows how far they will go, but we dove in and we gave it our all, just like the Airmen standing here today," the command chief said. "It takes hard work, courage and adoption of the Air Force Core Values to navigate the path through the enlisted ranks. This display signifies that journey."
The 14-foot hand crafted Airman to chief master sergeant rank display was installed in the back hall of the PCC. The Vandenberg Chief's Group was present along with 10 Airmen from various Vandenberg units.
A special thanks to the 30th Operations Support Squadron, Mr. Francisco Gomez, Carmelo Ortiz, and Joel Sutterfield for excellent craftsmanship on this amazing display.
