Vandenberg is set to kick-off a celebratory Silver Anniversary Week in honor of the 30th Space Wing’s 25 years of existence.

The week will begin Nov. 14 and run through Nov. 19, and include a kick-off barbeque party, heritage tours, an honorary wing run, a Silver Anniversary Ball and a USO Show Troupe performance.

The first event honoring the 30th Space Wing will be the kick-off barbeque party at the Cocheo Park picnic area on Nov. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food will include grilled shrimp, four types of linguica, pork ribs, grilled chicken, top sirloin, salad, beans and garlic bread. Tickets for the barbeque are only available until Nov. 7. For E-1 through E-6 Airmen, and their dependents, ticket prices are 5 dollars per-person. For everyone else ticket prices are $7 per-person.

In addition to the barbeque, the other event requiring tickets in advance is the Silver Anniversary Ball taking place on Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. in the Pacific Coast Club. This cocktail style gala will offer the opportunity to meet, greet and ask questions of former 30th Space Wing Commanders, dedicate a time capsule and enjoy a spread to include a wide variety of hors d’oeuvres and carving stations. Two live bands will also be in attendance. Tickets for the ball will only be available until Nov. 10. For E-1 through E-4, GS-1 through GS-4 civilians, and their dependents, ticket prices are $25 per-person. For E-5 through E-6, GS-5 civilians, and their dependents, ticket prices are $35 per-person. For E-7 through E-8, 0-1 through 0-3, GS-6 through GS-12 civilians, and their dependents, ticket prices are $45 per-person. For E-9, 0-4 and above, GS-13 and above, and their dependents, ticket prices are $50 per-person.
