Sodexo announced in Oct. 2017, that the company would not renew the Non Appropriated Funds Food and Beverage contract, which includes the bowling center, Jamba Juice in the fitness center, the Pacific Coast Club coffee shop, dining room, officer and enlisted lounges, and catering functions. Our Force Support Squadron team is up for the challenge and excited to take back ownership of the NAF Food and Beverage Operation.

While Team V should expect no significant changes to the Bowling Center or the catering food and beverage operations, there will be some overall changes. Beginning Feb. 17, the PCC dining room will be closed for lunch for a renovation project. The team is hopeful for a summer 2018 opening and is excited about a new look with a fresh, fast, “good-for-you” menu. Don't fret, in the meantime, the PCC coffee shop will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. serving coffee, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, fresh baked pastries and fresh, daily made salads and sandwiches to go. Come see us during our first week, Feb. 20 through 23, and receive a free small cup of drip coffee.  Beginning March 6, the FSS will also begin offering to-go family-sized dinners. Drive up and get handed a fresh, hot and ready meal Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Tune in to the PCC Facebook page and FSS website for dinner options and ordering details. The FSS is also excited about the opportunity to bring in a new food and beverage contract to the fitness center that offers us a chance to connect to our off-base community; think fresh squeezed juices and aromatic baked goods!

The bad news is that all NAF Food and Beverage operations will be closed Feb. 17 through 19 to conduct inventories for the transition. The great news is that on Feb. 20 the FSS will continue to honor Essential Meal Service cards at all NAF Food and Beverage locations and all of Team V will still be welcome at Breakers Dining Facility.

Don't forget, the PCC is still the place to be on Friday nights. The first Friday of every month is the First Friday celebration with free food for members and karaoke night. The second Friday of every month is country music, third Fridays are Hip Hop music and fourth Fridays are Top 40/Latin music. Come hang out and win cool prizes! More fun is coming in March to include Wine of the Month tastings, poker, bingo, and trivia.

Look for updates on the upcoming NAF Food and Beverage transition to include new daily specials, party packages, and classes in FSS Events e-mail blasts, on all FSS Facebook pages, and on the FSS website, www.30fss.com.
