Happy 65th birthday Air Force
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – Col. Nina Armagno, 30th Space Wing commander, shows retired Gen. Lance W. Lord, former Air Force Space Command commander, an old golf ball during the Air Force Ball at the Pacific Coast Club here Friday, Oct. 5, 2012. The golf ball, monogrammed with four stars and an Air Force Space Command crest, was dredged from a lake at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., by Lt. Gen. Susan Helms, now 14th Air Force commander, after Lord played golf there. The Air Force Ball celebrated the 65th birthday of the Air Force and the 30th anniversary of AFSPC.
