VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – The Vandenberg Honor Guard marches during the Veterans Day Parade on State Street in Santa Barbara Friday, Nov. 11, 2011. First proclaimed on Nov. 11, 1919, as Armistice Day to celebrate thesigning of the Armistice that ended World War I, it was expanded in 1954 to include veterans of all wars and has been known as Veterans Day ever since.
