UXO found, detonated at Vandenberg
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – The 30th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal technicians found an unexploded ordnance weighing approximately 200 pounds here Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010. The EOD technicians found the UXO and disposed of it during their sweep of the area on South Base after the Bear Creek Fire incident. Firefighters were cautious fighting the fire because the area was suspected to have remains of unexploded ordnance. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Ashley Reed)
