Students play Santa for Vandenberg child
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Getting ready to make her grand entrance at the assembly, Makaila Lubas, daughter of Senior Master Sgt. Frank Lubas, boards a Vandenberg fire truck here Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, with Spot the Fire Dog and Santa. After learning of Makaila's diagnosis of leukemia, the students at Crestview Elementary School raised more than $1,600 during the fundraiser deemed "Pennies for Makaila" and presented her a check during the assembly.
