Purple Heart Medal recipient Senior Airman Michael Brady, 30th Space Wing Public Affairs, was honored May 9 in San Francisco as part of American Legion Post 911's California American Hero award ceremony. He, along with other servicemembers, firemen, police officers and other early responders were presented certificates honoring their individual heroic acts. Keynote speakers at the event included former California Governor Pete Wilson and the California National Guard Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. William H. Wade II.
