Blood Drive
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Jim Rodlin, a donor care specialist with the United Blood Services ,tries to locate Senior Airman Carlos Sandoval's, a mission management specialist with the 18th Intelligence Squadron, vein prior to extracting his blood on Feb. 6. Forty-three people volunteered to donate a pint of blood to the United Blood Services. The blood is used to treat patients in such instances as open heart surgery, hip replacement, women giving birth and cancer patients.
