Missile Defense test completed
A Ground-based Interceptor missile, an element of the nation's Ground-based Midcourse Defense system, is launched from North Vandenberg Sunday at 11:54 a.m. PDT by 30th Space Wing officials, the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, and U.S. Northern Command. The missile intercepted a target missile over the Pacific Ocean launched from the Reagan Test Site, Kwajalein Atoll, in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
